Vicky, baby sitter - LE1 Leicester

I am currently 17 years of age and offering my services as a babysitter/childminder on evenings and weekends. I'm cheerful, kind, patient and understanding of children of all ages and backgrounds and I'm not afraid to rise to a challenge. I consider myself to be a very proactive worker both professionally and out of a workplace environment and find myself to be strong-willed resilient and punctual at all times. Given my age I have had experience working with all kinds of children both professionally in nurseries and in homes. I spent most of my hours outside of education babysitting for friends and family and this set in mind my career choice to work alongside children. I have previously worked in a nursery and I am aware of all First Aid, Safeguarding and Health and Safety regulations and how to apply them to any given situation. I am experienced with certain Special Needs in children such as autism, learning difficulties, ADHD and deaf children, although I have never had the opportunity to work alongside then in a professional environment, only whilst babysitting. I have actively taken part in a volunteering scheme run by a secondary school to encourage children to improve their reading capabilities and I believe the students I have worked with have truly learned from me and have proved and credited me in their lessons. I have also been offering home tutoring classes consisting of an hour a day to children who are preparing for school and for parents who don't feel that nursery workers are focusing enough on their child's development as they are often busy with other children and cannot purely focus on one. These sessions teach children to read, write, practice their recognition, improve their gross motor and fine motor skills and give then the opportunity to show progression as the sessions are always one on one and they have my full focus.
