Hello, I am currently in my final year of high school. I finish my day at 3:15pm everyday but Wednesday when I attend mathematic revision classes in preparation from my exams. In my opinion, the ideal child carer should be understanding in every situation, having a very fair way of looking at incidences that may of occurred. I think a child carer should be fun and should be able to keep a child engaged but also be strong minded and strict when needed. For instance, he or she should be able to discipline a child appropriately. I have an autistic 11 year old cousin of whom I have cared for when asked to babysit for 2 years. She is also mentally disabled. This has allowed me to gain hands on experience with disabled children meaning I know how to deal with troubled children as her mental disability causes intense mood changes and for her behaviour to escalate. I have also babysat my 2 year old cousin who is very advanced in his physical development meaning I have learnt to have eyes in the back of m head. He often has violet tantrums when he doesn't get his own way and form personal experience, I have grown to know how to deal with it. Lastly i have been a family friend babysitter for a 6 year old boy who has ADHD and a 1 year old girl with needs I was taught to deal with by her parents. Although I am only 15, I am positive that I would make a great babysitter for your child as I am also doing a chid development course of which I am predicted an A* in. As well that, I am looking into further education course where I will be studying health and social and phycology and sociology. This shows I am passionate about working with people to help them and learn how to understand them. During my child development course, my coursework was based on working with a young child to observe their physical development. For this, I had to plan many activities for my child of choice meaning I am able to plan imaginative activities for a young child of 12 months old where I was able to keep her engaged with the activity. Overall, I consider myself to have the qualities a great babysitter should have. I am very playful meaning I have a great imagination which will help keep your child entertained while not with their parents. Id like to show I genuinely care about fostering a healthy, fun, and active environment for your child. I am very responsible because I realise that, as a parent, you want someone whom you can depend on, someone you can trust, and someone who is capable of responsibly caring for your child/children. I realise I must be trustworthy, following the rules of the household, keeping your children safe, and to pay attention to your children. I am very patient because, as stated before, I had to learn to be patient when watching over my little cousin. It is clear that babysitting isn't all fun and games. If you have left specific instructions, it is my job to enforce these rules. I am gentle and kind but will also show them who is in charge. I wish to hear off you soon.
Kind regards, Britney

No recommendations yet, soon it will be your turn ?
As a 15 year old, I do tend to cost my mother and step-father money. I am growing up, I wish to become more independent. Due to me looking at colleges now, I do not wish to ask my parents for money all the time. I understand that times are hard for people and, taking that into consideration, I have decided on a bass price per hour. I have decided this price because it is what many parents offer when looking after their children and I do not think it is too much money. However, this price may be negotiable.
