Aoife, babysitter - CT19 Folkestone

Hello my name is Aoife I am an 18 year old girl, who has been living in England all my life. As you can tell by my name it is not the most common at all for this area, this is because it is an Irish name, this is where both my parents and family come from. I enjoy going over to visit my family over in Ireland, I get to go over their quite a few times of the year. I do have a really big family over there, which I love getting to visit, so not only when I'm going over to visit but I also get roped in to a lot of babysitting for all of my cousins, I in fact have 41 cousins, so you could say I've had a lot of experience helping out over there with the young ones.

I am at the moment in my last 2 weeks of school studying my A-Levels, at St. Edmunds Catholic School in Dover. After I have finished this in September I will studying a course at college of 'Early years' to carry on my passion for caring for younger children. So hopefully after I take part in this 1 year course, it will then open up a huge variety of doors for me, first step is that I will then be able to go start of a few hours working in nurseries to then hopefully a full-time job.

Even though I haven't had a lot of experience I'd like to say I have a few qualities as a carer and when I am looking after my niece, young cousins as well as family friends. As I have now passed through primary and secondary I can help the children with their homework, revision and any school projects they're doing. Also I enjoy cooking so that is always a helpful encounter to have on the children, learning how to cook new foods as well as baking cakes and buns, which children always seem to enjoy more. when ever I am babysitting I do have a lot of board games, which is always good fun for children.

I know I don't have to the most 'professional' experience in the world, but I do enjoy looking after children, I am just trying to find that experience that can open me up to a lot more opportunities out there.
