I am a fourth year student studying Primary Education at Edinburgh University and can provide babysitting and part-time childcare services. I have nearly two years of experience working in Primary schools. This has given me experience in looking after and teaching large groups of children (up to 30 children at once). I have experience in planning and facilitating fun lessons and activities and would love to use these skills to plan activities within the home (e.g. arts and crafts, baking etc). By July I will be a fully qualified teacher so I am more than happy to help the children with homework or any extra school work they may have.
In addition to this, I work part time looking after children with additional support needs. I work one-to-one with young people aged 4-19 to build confidence and independence within the community. We practice using public transport to go to places such as the swimming pool, the shops etc. I have training in first aid, epilepsy, moving and handling, peg feeding and sensory awareness. I absolutely love this job and it has given me the experience of working with young people with a wide range of needs.
I am more than happy to take children out to do activities within the community (such as soft play, park, shopping etc.) and am comfortable working with young people of all abilities.
I look forward to hearing from you!
