I am a local lady, a very young at heart and fit as a flea, 56 year old. I work full time as a Learning Mentor in a Blackpool Primary School. My children have now both flown (or almost flown) the nest.

I achieved my Qualified Teacher Status six years ago, and work as a Learning Mentor, supporting children who are, for one reason or another, 'vulnerable', have special needs or when English is their second language.

I am able to offer educational support as well as safe and secure care. I am, of course, because of my role, CRB checked.

I have transport and am happy to travel within the Fylde area. I am able to work evenings and weekends.

I am a mum to two, now aged 20 and 22 whom I brought up single handed since 2000. Both have done extremely well; one just graduating from university and one in her final year. I have my QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) and work as a Learning Mentor, supporting both vulnerable and special needs children in a local primary school. I have worked there for 16 years so have a wealth of knowledge and experience with children. I feel that this rate reflects my experience.
