Amanda, babysitter in England

Hi,

My name is Amanda, I'm 17 years old and currently studying at 6th form college. I currently live in a small town Buckinghamshire near Milton Keynes.

I have been experienced in babysitting since I was 13 years old when my parents decided I am responsible to look after my younger brother who was 6 at the time. Since then I have been babysitting my cousins who were aged from 5 to 10 years and friend's of my parents children aged from 4-8 years old.

When babysitting I understand it can be difficult from time to time for kids to listen to any form of rules as they tend to let loose, relax and I do make sure to have as much fun with them as I can.

Therefore I create a 'good girl/boy system' where every time they do a certain good thing e.g 'help tidy away the toys', 'finish all their dinner', 'have a bath', 'have a goodnight sleep' etc they get a point and at the end of that weekend/day when yourself as their parents/guardians arrive home I tend to give the children a surprise (which tends to be a small sweet treat or tiny toy).

In terms of feedback I've received the kids enjoyed my company and their parents were very thankful to have me help out not only with the children but also around the house which I can do if there is a list of some kind explaining what tasks you would like to be done.

In terms of availability, I can do weekends, Friday afternoons and any time which is not within term time as I am still a student.
