Rebecca, babysitter in Southampton

Hi! My name is Rebecca , I'm 19 years old and I'm in my second year of studying Law at the University of Southampton. I am currently available for babysitting for families in the Southampton area.

My main childcare experience comes with babysitting for my 4 year old brother. Both my parents have extremely busy careers, which has meant I have been babysitting for my brother for most of his life. We have a great bond and I love taking care of him. In addition,

I have volunteer experience through a programme called SHINE: Support and Help in Education. This programme allowed me to help disadvantaged children and teenagers learn through more creative means, such as arts and crafts.

My mother is a primary school teacher and I have completed work experience at her school. From these experiences I have found working with children to be fun and rewarding. My degree and life at university I believe has also been an experience which helps me to grow as a carer for children. Deadlines have meant my punctuality is excellent, and moving away from home has allowed my independence and confidence to really develop to the point where I feel more than comfortable interacting with new people.

I currently have 10 GCSEs (grades A-B), 4 A Levels (grades AAAB) and I managed to obtain a 2:1 in my first year of my Law LLB Hons degree.

I feel these qualifications would allow me to be competent in helping children with their homework, as well as showcasing my ability to motivate myself, meaning I can use this enthusiasm around young ones.

I would also be more than happy to undergo a DBS/CRB check.

My availability currently stands as:
Monday - Evenings (6:30pm - late)
Tuesday - N/A
Wednesday - Afternoons and Evenings (12pm-7pm)
Thursday - Afternoon and Evenings (12pm - late)
Friday - Mornings and Afternoons (7am-3pm)

I am available to prepare meals and also do homework with children.
