Hi, my name is Rachel, I am 28 years old and I have 5 years experience in childcare. I started as an apprentice in a nursery, where I achieved my level 3 qualification and gained experience with both baby room (0-2yrs) and main room (3-5yrs). I then moved on, to become a nanny where I had sole charge of a then 3yr old before working with my current family, looking after their 5yr old. Within both families, my role has been fairly similar in terms of providing after school care which include collection, preparing snacks and also nutritious meals, beginning the bedtime routine before parents take over and also organising a variety of activities, trips and playdates with friends. I am also supportive and encouraging of their learning at school and help with homework activities and teaching of phonics and numbers. I believe myself to be a compassionate, fun and caring person and I'm someone who loves adventures and being outdoors.
