Awo, babysitter - PR1 Preston

Hi, I'm currently a university student. I have plenty of experience with children as I grew up in a big family and have spent a few years assisting teachers at school with primary school children in Maths.

I also have a Level 2 qualification in Health and Social Care, this links the needs of people from infancy all the way through the life cycle.

Whilst growing up from the age of 15 I would spend every summer providing childcare to my niece and nephew full-time whilst my cousin would go to work. This goes on until today, I finished for the year last month (September). I started when my nephew was 8 and my niece was 5. Now he has turned 12 and she is 9.

Whilst with them I would help them with any homework they had due, getting them ready for school, collecting my niece from school, cooking dinner, completely household chores.

In their free time I would play games with them using a range of resources including technology and more simply objects like pens, paper, tennis balls etc.

As a childcarer the skills and qualities I have include patience, kindness, discipline and the ability to treat a child like a human, a young person and a future citizen of the world.
