Betsy, babysitting in Exeter EX2

When I was 18 I took on the position of assistant nursery nurse at two different nurseries in Bristol, one very small nursery and one much larger. In the larger nursery I often worked with children (aged 3-5) with complex needs. I very quickly became an acting lead worker and was often left to look after children by myself. I was also was involved in planning of group and personal activities for the children. I was very much involved with observations of children. I have been asked back to this employment on many occasions. During my school sixth form career I was appointed house captain, where I worked as a support network for other school colleagues aged 11-18. My current employment is at Exeter YES centre working as a volunteer youth support colleague full time. I am a psychology undergraduate at the university of leeds so have an understanding of children's behaviour from an academic perspective. I have completed two modules in developmental psychology thus far. I have two young siblings of my own, whom I have babysat for many times. I also worked as a nanny for a young child 3 times a week for a period of 6 months whilst I was 18.

I work as a volunteer as part of my degree full time at Exeter YES Centre, so I am available after 5pm on weekdays. I am often away during the weekend but I should potentially be available on request.
