Jenny, babysitting in Swindon

I currently work as a Teaching Assistant in a Reception class.I love my job and am looking to find some work to do in the holiday time. I have a wide range of experience in different childcare settings including schools, Montessori Nurseries and holiday clubs. In these areas I have had experience of working with a wide range of ages from 5 months up to 13 year olds and also a range of roles including management and SENCO.

In the settings I have worked in I have had the experience of working with children with learning and behaviour difficulties helping write IEPs and also for one child a statement. For these children I have had the opportunity to do 1:1 work to benefit these children. I have also learnt different ways of managing behaviour and the importance that one thing does not always work for every child. In my role as SENCO I developed a language groups throughout one of the nurseries.

I have had experience in working in schools with all ages up to the end of Primary school. I have helped take small groups for maths and literacy work helping to support them and helping them to work out how to do activities for themselves which helps give them a sense of achievement.

I have attended outings with the children including two that were linked to forest schools where the children got to learn about boundaries in the outdoors. When in working in schools I have assisted on day trips as well as outward bound trips where the children have stayed away for several nights.
