Jodie, babysitting - SO15 Southampton

My name is Jodie , I am 18 Years old , I am currently attending Southampton City College studying Early Years. I am on the Level 3 Diploma course in Childcare and education and i currently hold a Level 3 Certificate/Award in Childcare and education and am on my last year at college to gain my Diploma. I am on target to Pass and get a level at a A Grade standard and i have already achieved an 'A' grade for my first year. I have covered many areas when studying Childcare and Education. Here is a list of the Units i have covered so far...
Unit 1- an introduction to working with children
Unit 2- Development from conception to 16 Years
Unit 3-Supporting Children
Unit 4- Keeping children safe
Unit 5- The principles in underpinning the role of the practitioner working with children.
Unit 6- Promoting a healthy environment for children
Unit 7- Play and learning in children's education.
With these, i have written assignments which have been graded. If these would like to be seen, this is possible.

I am always around children as i have a baby sister of 6 months old and a baby brother of 2 years who in which i baby sit when needed.

My qualities as a child carer would be: I am patient and friendly and always adaptable depending on the child. I am a positive thinker and believe i am able to motivate children in play and learning. I am a attentive listener and able to cope with stress. I learn from experience and able to adapt to child's needs.

I have experience working with a wide age range of children. I gain experience from doing Placements at college. Here is my experience:
My current job- Childminding assistant working with children from 1 year to 8 years
Wordsworth Primary School- Student. Working with year 2 and taking on the role of a teaching assistant
The Co-operative Childcare- Student. Working with babies from 5 months old to children aged 3
Stephens Early Years- Work experience. Working with Pre-school children for 2 weeks.

I have a folder of activities and games i have planned throughout college and my time working children which i can implement in my time babysitting children and i am able to adapt to parent's wishes.

I am able to clean, cook and do house work, changing nappies, bathing and feeding children.

I also hold a full Paediatric First Aid Certificate which is valid until 2017.
