Piper, child care in Stoke-on-trent ST4

Hello, my name is Piper .
I am a 17-year-old girl looking for babysitting jobs around the Newcastle Under Lyme area and would be delighted if you would take the time to read through my profile.
Growing up with two little brothers and 8 little cousins, I have always had a great passion for caring for small children. For my Duke of Edinburgh two years ago I was able to volunteer at my local brownies and had the tasks of helping the girls (all around 10 years of age) with their various projects and just in general keeping them entertained. I loved this experience, as there is honestly never a dull moment when working with children in my opinion.
Additionally, I had the opportunity to enrol at ‘The Cultural Sisters’ art workshop for my work experience. During this time I helped out at Kemble School and had an amazing time assisting the kids there with their artwork. I love the creativity of young children. (I am able to provide the email of this arts and crafts institution as a reference if you would like).
Babysitting for my younger siblings and cousins has taught me a lot about how to keep a child entertained for a few hours, whether it be with activities or just listening to what they have to say. I never tire of hearing children’s hilarious stories and perspectives of the world. I would happily bring any toys or board games along with me if I thought they could help keep the kids happy.
Whilst I am definitely not a professional chef, I know how to cook basic meals and would readily do so if asked. I certainly cannot guarantee a gourmet dinner but, more importantly, I know how to be safe in a kitchen!
I would also be willing to assist with any homework or chores- anything that helps. I performed well in my GCSEs and am currently studying A-levels in Maths, Politics, History, and English Literature, so I should be fully able to help the kids with any troubles they are experiencing with homework, whether they be secondary or primary school students.
I am a very patient person, especially when it comes to children. I make a habit of never shouting at those who I am looking after, as I find the best way to get a child to do as they’re told is to treat them respectfully. Having said this, I am a real sticker for rules, and so can assure you that any bedtimes you set in place will be enforced. I am firm but fair, and above all fun.
Any children I have had the pleasure of caring for have been over the age of five, meaning I would only recommend my services if you have children in this age bracket. There is no maximum age I can think of that I would be opposed to caring for, but I am definitely lacking experience in children under the age of 5 (babies especially!).
I am a reliable, punctual, and honest person, just looking for a small amount of extra money.
