Aleana, childcare in Redcar

I am Aleana and I am 17 years old, 18 in July. I am currently coming to an end to my studies at Redcar and Cleveland College; I have been studying the BTEC National Diploma in Children's Care, Learning and Development (Level 3) and I am due to finish at the end of may and have my qualification by May/June. I am eager to become a teaching assistant and I am also highly interested in childminding. As a carer, I am patient, caring and kind and have a good sense of humour. I understand that children need boundaries as well as fun and allowing them to explore in order to develop. I am a helpful individual and I work alongside parent and worker well and ensure that I stay within the policies, for example confidentiality, equality and diversity, health and safety and safeguarding when caring for children to ensure that I am caring for them appropriately and effectively. I have had a variety of experience in childcare settings such as school, special needs and mainstream and private day and I have also babysat for family and friends. I have planned a variety of activities within my placement setting when studying at college, for example Easter egg hunt and card making activities. I am also currently creating my own resource for supporting children's learning which is an international box used for the children to explore cultures, make things such as dragons for china or food which i check for allergies before hand and allows them to read and sing nursery rhymes in other languages.
