My ultimate career goal is to work with young children and their families within the early years.
I am an enthusiastic and dedicated practitioner who can bring motivation, creativity and support to your team. I have a passion for fun, messy and effective educational experiences for young children. I believe that holistic development can be supported through both -initiated and adult-led activities and that the key to best practice is finding a balance. Working with children can be busy and noisy, but if you love it like I do then every dribble patch on your shirt, paint splash on your trouser, sand filled shoe and headache you get is absolutely worth it.
I have around 3/4 years of experience with children of all different ages. I have worked in a variety of setting's including nurseries, primary schools, reception classes and high schools and have experience with children aged between 3 months all the way up to 16 years old. I must say I prefer caring for and educating younger children (pre-secondary school) because of my familiarity with the Early Years Foundation Stage and my previous experience with the younger age groups. I am happy to support, mums, dads, whole families wherever I possibly can! even if it is just a little housework while mum and baby are napping for example. I have also babysat children of friends ranging from 5 weeks to 10 years old.
