Emma, foreign au pair in Plymstock PL9

About Me:
I am a 19 year old female based in Plymouth, actively looking for childcare work. I am currently flexible and available all week.

I am a very caring person, I can develop good relationships between parents' and the children themselves, creating a happy and safe environment for them to be in.

It gives me job satisfaction seeing a child develop and progress and making the parent's lives easier and stress-free while I offer my helping hand. I am also willing to prepare basic meals and do general cleaning/house maintenance if asked to.

I am due to study Level 3 Complete Child Care home study course which I would love to do alongside working with children to expand my experience and offer my service to families.

I am very much willing to learn and can easily adapt around you.

I have a clean full drivers license too and my own car.

I have previous DBS checks, but willing to apply for an up-to-date one when necessary.

Relevant Education and Experience:
I have studied Health and Social Care at both GCSE and college level 3 where childcare was a big part of it, so I have a clear understanding on it and knowledge in a variety of sectors, including the importance of Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs, child development, safeguarding, play schemes and many more key topics.

As well as school and college work, I have achieved my Playwork certificate. To gain this, it involved being monitored under practical supervision with children in a park setting and writing up assignments too in relevance. This has given me a greater understanding of the games that children can play and get involved with which will help develop all aspects of their needs (including physical, emotional, intellectual and social), whilst having fun and enjoying themselves too.

Practically wise, I take responsibility looking after both friends and family children from a variety of ages including newborn to 12 year old's.

I also have a Level 2 Certificate in Food Hygiene which I can put into practice if preparing food was part of my duty.
