David, is looking for childcare in Wilton SP2 for the 1 August 2017

Good afternoon

My wife and I are looking for a nanny to help us in looking after our two children from approximately 1 Aug 17 until mid-December 17 in Wilton. Depending on the hourly rate we would be hoping for six hours cover a day Monday to Friday initially. If you are able to assist us then we could discuss the finer details to suit all parties.

We will have two children by the time you hopefully start. Charlie is three (four in September). He has Down Syndrome and normally attends both John McNeill and South Hills nursery and is thriving in both. He was diagnosed with leukaemia on 9 March this year and is about to start his final round of chemotherapy. The prognosis is good and we hope that by August he will be given the all clear, although he will not be going straight back into nursery.

We are also due to have another baby arriving on 1 August! Could be earlier – who knows!

We are looking for a nanny primarily to be able to provide that extra pair of hands for Emma during the daytime whilst I am at work. She will be unable to feed a new born baby and also keep control of Charlie whilst he is connected to a feeding tube or generally being a mischievous three-year-old! We do not require you to give any medication to Charlie as we would do all of that, but it is really a case of keeping him safe as he does not always respond immediately to commands.

We would also want some basic help around the house. We are not asking for a cleaner, but sticking on the odd load of laundry and hanging it out, emptying the dishwasher or a quick hoover (about 5 mins in this house) would be amazing. It is really just about keeping on top of the house so it is as hygienic as possible given Charlie’s immune system is not as strong as normal.

Charlie is an absolute superstar and thrives with adult company. He loves reading and being read to, being outside, bouncing on the trampoline, going for little walks, looking at animals in the fields. His favourite films are Mary Poppins, Bed knobs and Broomsticks and of course Moana!
