Full time live out nanny/ housekeeper

We are looking for a full time live out nanny in Biggleswade, Bedfordshire. 7.30am to 7.30pm when my husband is out of the country as he is a pilot and I work in London (long days), and working 8am to 4.30 pm when he is home (short days). When my husband is home he will quite often allow the nanny to leave early or start late on these short days. As a guide therefore across last year our current nanny worked just under 42 actual hours each week. We will need a nanny to start on 1 July when our current nanny leaves.

We will need someone who can drive but they will have use of the family car during the week.

A fluent French speaker is desirable but not essential, however they should be prepared to work with us to actively encourage the children to learn French.

The nanny will have sole charge of the children and all that comes with that including attending groups/ classes etc; planning and arranging other development and learning opportunities; planning and preparing from scratch healthy meals and snacks; taking the children to school/nursery, plus nursery duties including laundry and ironing of the children’s clothes, bathing, keeping the children’s bedrooms and play area clean and tidy and taking the children to any appointments they may have.

They will also be asked to occasionally baby sit during out of work hours (2 evenings a month are included in the current contract as part of annual salary) and help the household to run smoothly by carrying out essential housekeeping tasks when the children are at school/nursery/there is available time.
