Personal care assistant
Personal Care Assistant needed for 14 year old boy with complex special needs: quadriplegic cerebral palsy, epilepsy, chronic chest problems and is registered blind.
This role will involve personal care, hoisting, repositioning, preparation and administration of medication, preparation of daytime and overnight feeds and administration of these feeds vis mic-key button (peg feed), preparation of bags/equipment. This role will also involve assisting with activities such as baking / arts & crafts etc. and accompanying/assisting on day trips / car journeys / walks / physio sessions / hospital visits etc.
Experience will be helpful but is not essential.
Start date: Monday 23rd May 2016 or as close as possible to this date.
Hours: 84.5 hours per month at £8.50 per hour.
4 weekly rota and hours/times do vary:
Week 1:
Monday: 6:45am-8:30am and 3:30pm-7:30pm
Thursday: 12pm-1:45pm and 2:45pm-4:30pm
Friday: 6:45am-8:30am and 3:30pm-7:30pm
Week 2:
Monday: 6:45am-8:30am and 3:30-7:30pm
Thursday: 12pm-1:45pm and 2:45pm-4:30pm
Friday: 6:45am-8:30am and 3:30pm-7:30pm
Saturday: 6:45am-2pm
Week 3:
Monday: 3:30pm-7:30pm
Thursday: 12pm-1:45pm and 2:45pm-4:30pm
Friday: 6:45am-8:30am and 3:30pm-7:30pm
Week 4:
Monday: 6:45am-8:30am and 3:30pm-7:30pm
