Andrea, nanny in Hastings

Hello, my name is Andrea, I am a 47 year old married lady with children in college and university. I live in Hastings, East Sussex, England. I am presently employed in optical screening but have a varied employment history in playgroup child care and activities, housekeeping, pet sitting, mother's help and voluntary work in primary school helping with additional one to one reading lessons, swimming lessons and fund raising. I have even helped in the running of a local football team of which I was a keen supporter in all weathers!

I am looking for a career change after wanting for many years to foster but never having the room to fulfill my dream... the teenagers just keep coming back home! I feel I still have a sense of fun, am fit and active and love to get children involved in everything including cooking, gardening and chores as this helps them grow into well rounded adults. I love all the usual activities of painting, crafting, music, games, playing, sports and enjoying the outdoors. Good manners and politeness are Important too.

I am very happy to help with household chores when there is time but am honest when I say that attention to the children is foremost. If little ones are napping I am more than happy to clean and iron and cook. I have a good level of O level education and am confident I am able to help with reading and homework. My own children have reached a good standard of education and continue to study hard. I have been a working mum myself and understand the needs of working parents to make busy lives run a little smoother.

I would be looking for a position of around 30 - 40 hours a week, which can include anytime between 8.30am and 8pm . I can be flexible as I do not have commitments that limit me to a specific schedule and would be available for additional later evening childcare if required. I am afraid I do not have a driving license so would be looking for a position fairly local to the Hastings and Bexhill area.
