Hello!
My name Is Bethany and I love to look after children. At the moment I am studying a performing arts degree at the Royal central school of speech and drama university but am back for the summer and am looking for work that I appreciate and enjoy the most- working with children :)
I have worked with children both professionally and personally for example in my late secondary school years I decided to gain work experience by taking on a teaching assistant role, where I helped children ages 6+ on their English, music and drama skills. This allowed me to teach the children both constructively and creatively but most importantly in a fun, caring and enthusiastic environment- in order for them to grow and understand with confidence. Most recently I have worked at Brent Cross Shopping Centre as an Elf (My elf name being Cracker!) for Santa's grotto whereby the elves would not only entertain but hold events for children in fun competitions and activity events. This also required helping children with disabilities and creating a safe environment for them to be comfortable when meeting Santa! Additionally I have looked after my younger brother religiously as he grew from the ages 4-10. I have babysat cousins and find the company of children to be the most interesting and purposeful. Through most of my childhood I was in the care of many after school clubs from a young age, including one Au pair, full time childminders and evening babysitters. Being around these environments has taught me that when minding other peoples children you are there not just for their safety but to help them in their developing stages as explorers, readers, creators etc, therefore to go the extra mile to teach, be a friend and an entertainer :) As a child carer/babysitter I can adapt to many environments and diverse children with different personalities to ensure they are having fun! I can bring fun, knowledge, musical, dramatic and literary skills to your home :)!
