For my working life I have worked with children and young people in various health and social care settings. I have a Ba Hons degree in Children and Early Childhood. I have a current paediatric first aid certificate
My experiences include working within after school clubs, crèches, social services and NHS settings. I have worked and liaised within multi-disciplinary teams. I have been in charge of staff supervision and have the ability to form positive professional relationships.

I have recent experience in working with a child with cerebral palsy and am able to follow care plans in order to ensure there is a continuity in their care.
I have worked with children and young people aged 0-18.
Through working with children and bringing up my own child, I am aware of the importance of enabling a child’s abilities and gaining confidence and independence. I am able to encourage a child to try things for themselves and give them positive praise. I will always focus on the positives rather than pointing out negatives.
I have a good sense of humour which I feel is essential when working with children. I also have a vast understanding of children’s needs and ensure that while a child is in my care their needs are understood and met.
I can work well to deadlines, and have the ability to work within a team and also on an individual basis. I have worked with children in their family home and formed good professional relationships with the full families.
I keep up to date with relevant policies and also understand the need to keep up to date recordings. I understand the need for confidentiality and how things should only be discussed within a need to know basis. I have excellent organisational skills and am able to prioritise effectively. I understand the importance of keeping up to date with legislation and am always willing to take on extra training.
I can be flexible with my working hours as I understand that there may be times when hours of work may need to change, to cover sickness and holidays.
I have held a full UK driving license for ten years and have access to my own transport
