Esther, occasional childcare in Becontree

I am an experienced teaching assistant, who has previously worked in a primary school and nursery environment. As a teaching assistant, I was in charge of helping students when they had any concerns during lessons, also supporting teachers in the daily activities, marking students’ homework and maintaining tidiness in the classrooms.

I have also volunteered as a nanny for friends and family. The age frame I have experience with is 2 - 10 years old. My duties included assisting children with their personal care such as feeding, toileting, preparing simple meals and snacks. As well as supporting them with daily activities, such as helping with school homework,   playing, picking up from school, carrying out some outdoor activities like going to the park and tidying up their house to promote an organised environment at home.

Over the years, I have been able to develop excellent communication skills, good interpersonal skills, time management,   adaptability, organising skills and team work skills. I consider myself as a very enthusiastic and energetic employee who learns quickly and follows instructions responsibly. I like to work hard to accomplish my responsibilities at work and in my personal life too.

An important factor to consider, is that I play very active role in my religious community where I participate in a volunteer program that involves teaching all sorts of people about the Bible. Being part of this organisation has helped me develop aptitudes and qualities that are very useful for work. For instance, I have learnt to be patient,   tolerant,   honest and impartial. I am sure I can tranfer these skills and experience to my future job.
