Hi my name is Gloria, I am 19 years old and currently studying at De Montfort University in Leicester. The type of care I am looking for would be just babysitting jobs, as I have not studied and received qualifications for me to even attempt being a full time carer. I would say my best qualities as a childcarer would be the fact that I can be very childish at times - not in a bad way though! Even at 19 I still love Peppa Pig and I can really engage when playing games with children so that they can get that joy of playing with someone that is excited to play as they are. I also received all A*-C grades in secondary school so helping with homework should not be a problem at all.
I've been babysitting since Secondary School so I would say I do have quite a bit of experience. On wednesday's when I finished school early i would pick up my nephew from school and drop him home, and on weekends I would babysit my two nieces. And since 2014 when my nephew was born, I've been babysitting him on what seems like a weekly basis! Just kidding, lol but it is very frequent. I've even cared for him for a whole week while my sister was abroad, and while attending college so I would say I've had my fair share of experience. I personally don't have any specific games that I practise with - usually I learn what the child likes to do and what games they like to play and interact with them based on that.
Occasional babysitting | $10.00 per hour |
Partial / after-school care | $5.00 per hour |
I believe £10 p/h is a good price as I would be using any free time I have from university to babysit, which is quite a lot to give as a university student.
