Hi, my name is Joana . I am 21 years old and am originally from Portugal; however, I have been living in the UK since I was 6. I worked full time in Alice Wonderland Nursery, located in London for almost two years, unfortunately, I had to leave as my mother and I moved to Ipswich. At that time, I was still studying my Level 3 Child care and Education course full time but could not find a job within Nurseries, as I did not have my certificate yet. Instead, I became a carer at Anglesea Heights Nursing Home. From working with the elderly, it proved more to me that I enjoyed working alongside children more. I have now finished my course, gained my qualifications and have worked for a week in Monkey Puzzle Nursery, located in London to gain more experience with pre school children. My aim is to become a manager and then open my own Daycare Centre for children between the ages of 6 months – 4 years. In the mean time, I would like to gain more experience and knowledge.
