Neeley, registered childminder in Thaxted CM6

I am opening this page as I am using my experience to start my own childminding business from my home in Thaxted.
I have started the registration process and hope to be ready to go by the start of September 2015. Please contact me if you feel I will be offering a valuable service in Thaxted, Essex.

I am a 31 year old mother to 2 boys aged 13 and 7 and we have 1 fun loving very well behaved 10 month old border collie named Belle who is extremely good with children. I live with my partner whom I have been with for 12 years now and he is a manager in a busy Sainsbury's depot and works long hours. I have been working in the Early Years sector for the past 6 years and hold a foundation degree in early years, playwork and education. I was set to complete my BA Hons in childhood professional practice this year but have decided the final work load is too much with work commitments and a family to care for at the moment.

I will be providing a fun, happy and comfortable environment for your child and will plan your child's care around their interests and needs. I fully comply with the Eyfs framework and plan to visit different groups and clubs for example Buffy bus and toddler groups and also visit places of educational and physical value such as farms, museums, parks and play centres. We can also take the dog on walks and explore the fields, forest and streams surrounding Thaxted regularly. Although not forest school accredited I have had some experience through training that allows me to make the most of these outdoor environments with the children.

As well as bringing up my own 2 sons I have 6 years experience as a key person in various pre-school learning environments a baby room in a nursery and a year spent in a reception class environment. Currently working in a pre-school setting with children aged 2 to 4 whilst still at university but I am planning on deferring this final year.

Qualifications I hold:

Cache Level 3 Diploma - working in the children and young peoples workforce

Foundation Degree - Early Years, Playwork and Education (Gained through Anglia Ruskin University)

Level 3 Speech, language and communication

Paediatric first aid

Safeguarding

Level 3 Food Hygiene
