Presentation

I am currently working as a Care Support Worker at Whitwell Park Nursing home where I care for and support individuals with Special Educational Needs, disabilities and challenging behaviour in their day-to-day care and living ensuring they can and will live life to the best and fullest. I absolutely love caring for people that are unable to do so for themselves, it gives me a purpose for the abilities that I have been blessed with and makes me so happy seeing that I am making someone else happy. I also have had a vast experience working with and teaching children as I did many different work placements for my Child care and Education training. Working with children is another passion of mine as I seem to really develop along with them and help the progress to the best of their ability. Another strength of mine includes customer service anything from computer work and physical work, helping people is all I dream of perusing.
All my past experience has gave me the strengths of being able to work effectively on my own or as a team, I have excellent communication and never fail to see when something is wrong and am quick to act upon any concerns of mine.

Whitwell Park Nursing home, Mary Marsh, start date – 09/14
I am currently a care support worker for individuals with Special Educational needs (SEN), disabilities or challenging behaviour. The job role insists of supporting and carrying out all personal care such as bathing, toileting, teeth care, and dressing also, feeding and ensuring the correct amount of fluid and food are taken in, providing choices, encouragement and care. It is important that I develop relationships with the individuals in order for me to be able to recognise and act upon irregular behaviours, triggers and symptoms. I am responsible for documenting and reporting and everything from feeding to toileting patterns, ensuring routines and like and dislikes are fully taken into force for the well-being, health and best interests of the individuals. I am responsible for helping the individuals live there life to the best they can and helping in any possible way I can.
Worksop Wilkinson Store, Debra Storey, start date – 11/11 end date – 01/12
This was a temporary position in which I was responsible for serving customers and ensuring they have a positive shopping experience in the store and find everything they need while offer the best help, support and advise if and when appropriate. This was also at Christmas time and was therefore very busy throughout the day. It was important that I remained professional, punctual, polite, presentable and supportive at all time, some duties of mine included cash handling, using the tills, serving customers, dealing with customer queries and complaints and ensuring the shop floor and area around the till and exit were safe and presentable.
