Samantha, sitter in Brighton

Hi! My name is Samantha. I originally come from just north of Liverpool, but moved to Brighton recently after coming back and forth for a year. I originally wanted to be an art teacher for primary school children, but I came to childcare so I could be more flexible and have tons more fun with my career!

I started working with children in a placement near Barcelona (I got the best of both worlds with a dream job and sunny beaches!) which gave me tons of great experience that helped me get to where I am today. I matured a lot, had to overcome a huge language barrier and developed my own independence. When I came back to England, I decided that childcare was definitely the career path for me - so here I am, ready and raring to go helping with whatever you might need!

My current job allows me to have fun with the children I work with and I love being able to become a child myself whilst still having the responsibility of ensuring their safety and keeping an eye on things. I would love to take that out of work and begin to look after children outside of the clubs; I'd love to get experience working 1-1 with children and I believe that I'm a great candidate for that. I love playing games, being sporty but most of all I love getting crafty and expressing myself through art!

I'm also keen to tutor basic Spanish to children, whether that be in the home or in public groups. I have been learning Spanish since 1999, and believe it benefits children a lot to learn another language whilst they are young. I can also tutor English, help with homework and prepare children for exams!
