Melissa, sitter in England

I'm a third year student at DMU and I'm looking for a part time job during the summer. I may not have any professional experience looking after children but I have been helping look after my two sisters (ages 4 and 6). This includes knowledge of different children games, different TV shows and different needs at certain times of the day etc. I will be willing to undergo any training you deem necessary.

I understand each child is different and I can apply myself differently to each situation and will ensure that I try my best to keep the child happy. I am also a very bubbly and thoughtful person and believe I flourish when caring for others. This is why babysitting would be a great path to take for future endeavours.

As well as this I have been participating in the DMU volunteering scheme in which I have taken part to help several people. I am currently partaking in the Loneliness and Isolation project which aids older people who have no family. This may not be focused towards children but it still helps me gain experience in the care sector, which I think would be a major help in this kind of situation.
