My passion in working with children came from being in a large family, I had the responsibility to babysit my cousins, help with homework and this has now become a big part of my life. I hope to embark upon a rewarding but challenging career that will allow me the opportunity to aid in the development of the next generation.

A degree in BA (Hons) Education Studies. Studying this degree has taught me about understanding education, the politics behind it, working with children and children with SEN, which are vital things that will help me understand different children. I had placement during university where I got to mentor children with Special Educational Needs such as Autism. This was a challenge for myself, however it gave me assertion to know I am able to work with diverse children. I was aware of the challenges children faced, however with the correct guidance needed, they were able to reach their goals.

I have had plenty of experience working alongside children which has been a challenging but yet rewarding job because it has taught me about teamwork and responsibility. Furthermore, outside of my working time, some of my interests are listening to music and dedicating two evenings a week to go swimming because I believe health and fitness is essential.

Being a babysitter is definitely the next logical step for me, which I have a passion for and to help bring a positive impact to the children in the future. I’m a dedicated person and prepared to work hard to fulfil the goals I set for myself, both now and during my career.
