My name is Anojan and I am currently a university student that has finished for summer, I study Chemical Engineering at Birmingham.
I know the area very well, attending to both primary and secondary school in the local area, I am fluent in Tamil, English and know bits of French and German; I am on the process of learning these languages thoroughly though.

I can facilitate to any care needed and I have past experiences looking after my cousins and family friends kids too.
I am a very friendly and outgoing individual who adores to play sports and interact with everyone. I can play the piano to grade 3 (ABRSM) and I am also an avid rower (I represent my University and I am also the treasurer for our rowing club).

Here is a list of my professional work experience:
- Volunteering at Cancer Research has allowed me to help the community, learn new skills and improve my communication and team work skills by working and meeting a range of new people from a diverse ethnic backgrounds.
Working with closely with customers allowed me to develop my communication skills so I could provide quality service. I have volunteered at this store for 9 months.

- I experienced first-hand the atmosphere of a working environment and I learned how the HR department functions. The tasks I completed include taking payroll for 600 employees with a 98% accuracy; sorting clients and observing their attendance, taking minutes during meetings, organising and archiving documents, allowed me to develop and gain many skills; though my organisational skills were developed the greatest. I have worked at this company for 4 months.

- Considering that this was my first job working within a retail environment, I absorbed all of the information that was given to me like a sponge, I enjoyed working in a retail environment.
Having worked at both ‘Menswear’ and ‘Home’ I had experienced a mix of tasks and responsibilities which I learnt a lot from, I was much more aware of the detail and ultra-structure of the store and was able to deliver a more comprehensive product information to the customer.
My role as a ‘Sales Representative’ was to assist the customers, ensure that they had an excellent customer journey; operating the cash registers; handling and creating orders online for customers; opening accounts (store cards); watching the fittings rooms and handling stock. I have worked at this store for just under a year and have ensured that standards of particular brands are kept to the highest standard, eg.Levis and Fred Perry etc...

- At Selfridges, I was working in the 'Mens Formal' department, in particular 'ZZenga and Armani: Collezioni'. Working in both of these luxurious brands, I have learnt a lot of what is expected, how to tailor a suit and history of the brand. I also know how to operate the cash registers efficiently and how to process Tax Free shopping; all of which have helped me become a well-rounded sales associate.

- Working at Jack Wills, I have gained a lot of experience and understanding of how the store is run. I have learnt the different folding techniques that apply to different clothing, I am fully aware of how to manage stock, assist customers, how to retrieve online orders and be able to prompt customers to purchase extra goods to compliment with their current purchases. I have also learnt a lot about customer conversion targets, SMG and also techniques to help boost our target sales.

- Having worked at Debenhams before, I wanted to try something different and to learn something new. In doing so, I chose to be a ‘Travel Money Agent’ I have learnt a lot from this role. I have learnt how to convert different currencies using a special software, known as UltraPos how to apply different rates accordingly to certain individuals, how to follow the start/end day procedures, abide my company’s money laundering policy and etc. I felt that this role has given me more scope in the financial industry, which I hope to work in the future, by teaching me to focus on current affairs and the different methods to check/prevent fraud from occurring etc.
