Hello there. I am a mature lady, 54 but very young at heart..! I have 2 grown up sons. I works for the NHS and have done so for over 20 years. My family background was in Childcare /fostering/ and I grew up surrounded by a houseful of children including my 3 brothers. I myself was a registered child minder for 15 years while my children were growing up looking after little ones under 2 always long term. I returned to further education when my children got older which enabled me to start work in the NHS where I have remained.
Over the last 12 years I worked for a private babysitting agency evenings and weekends looking after children from 6 months to 13 years. The agency subsequently closed and I continued to babysit for a few families who have become like family to me. These children are now grown up and sadly no longer need my services. I love children (and the elderly) and very much miss the interaction with children. I enjoyed playing board games, building camps in the garden, reading stories, taking the children for walks amongst many other things. I feel I still have a lot of time and love to give and would very much like to find a casual position.
Occasional babysitting | $9.50 per hour |
I have had many years experience with children from many walks of life.
I was a child minder for 15 years and have worked with a private agency babysitting for 12 years or so. I think 9.50 per hour is a reasonable rate as it would include travel cost.
