I feel I have the necessary skills and experience to be considered for the working with children. Although English is not my first language, I have been learning English for my studies years and use it on a regular basis. But I am determined to improve my English communication.

I worked in a nursery looking after children with another colleague. It was my responsibility to prepare a plan of the days activities as well as teaching the children social skills and hygiene habits. I also gave music lessons. We sang songs with the children and played the piano. We would take the children on school trips. I would help the children with personal care and teach them how to get dressed. In addition, we would help them learn the alphabet and teach the children basic English.

I have proven experience of working to deadlines, for example preparation for the performances for parents . During my time as a Czech teacher, I had to help my students prepare for their exams. They always had a date for their exam and therefore it was my responsibility to make sure they were well prepared.

I am computer literate and have a good working knowledge of computers packages.

I also have experience with administrative work. I see the need to check my work thoroughly before submitting it. It is important to be accurate because my work not only reflects on me but my employer too. I work well as part of a team and I have good communication skills and interact well with people of all ages. I think my work as a nanny is a good example of this. I enjoy meeting new people and have experience of dealing with people from different backgrounds and cultures. I have friends in different parts of the world and feel I am sensitive to the needs of others.

I enjoy working as part of a team however, I am also confident to work on my own initiative but I am not afraid to ask for help when it is necessary. I am a quick learner and feel with the necessary training.

I am a reliable, honest and punctual person. I feel these qualities are important because I like people to be able to trust me and rely on me to do a good job. I am also flexible and willing to cover for my colleagues in times of sickness or absence for other reasons. I am a good team player and am always happy to assist my colleagues wherever I can. I think team work is very important because it helps get the job done to a high standard and is good for working relationships
