Suzuko, sitter - SE23 Forest hill

Suzuko Wood who worked for us as an after school Nanny for 7 years from 2011 to 2018, looking after our two children, now aged 13 and 16. Suzuko’s main responsibilities were collecting the children from school and bringing them to our home, preparing their evening meal, taking them to a range of after school activities, and supervising any homework/music practice. Suzuko worked Monday to Friday for many years, and then was adaptable in changing to four days a week when my husband’s work pattern changed. Throughout her time with us Suzuko was highly reliable and always punctual; as well as being flexible if we were delayed on our journey home. She didn’t have a single day off for sickness. She was always willing to swap days or stay later to accommodate our work schedules. She was consistently kind and caring to the children, yet dealt patiently with the ups and downs of moods and behaviour that arise with children. Suzuko is highly flexible and adapted quickly to changes to the children’s routines. She is adept at keeping to time schedules, taking my son to a range of activities on public transport. Suzuko is trustworthy and responsible and we were completely confident leaving our children in her care. The children also learnt a great deal from Suzuko; she is a very creative and talented, sharing her skills with the children such as making origami cards. Her knowledge of the world and interesting stories have inspired them over the years, and continue to do so. We regard Suzuko as a family friend due to the bond she developed with the children and the care and commitment she showed to the family as a whole. When my son went to secondary school we no longer required an after school nanny, but we would wholeheartedly recommend Suzuko for a similar position or for any other opportunities she chooses to seek.
