Jessica, sitter - SW1X London

My name is Jessica, I am 24 years old and originally from Devon. I am currently a post-graduate student in my final year of training to be a Speech and Language Therapist - my absolute passion. I have recently moved to South London and am now based in the Clapham/Balham area.

I am extremely enthusiastic, energetic and absolutely love working with children as you'll find out when you meet me!

I have spent the previous 12 months working in Highbury, Islington, as an after school nanny/babysitter for a 10 year old boy and 12 year old girl. My role involved supervising homework, cooking dinner, preparing lunches, supervising bedtimes and of course, being an interactive and friendly nanny/babysitter whom the children enjoyed spending time with.

I also previously worked as a Teaching Assistant in a Foundation and Year 1 class. This was in a mainstream school, however my main role was to work on a one-to-one basis with a student who had Down Syndrome. I was fortunate enough to build up many babysitting connections around the school due to my friendly, reliable and trustworthy persona.

Here, I gained experience in babysitting children from the age of 18 months to 14 years. I am also very capable in terms of looking after children with special educational needs.

I achieved a degree in Psychology from Loughborough University, meaning that I possess a wealth of knowledge on child development. I have also gained knowledge and experience in numerous aspects of children's communicative, speech and language development from my current training in Speech and Language Therapy.

I am currently looking for work around South West London. I am available during evenings and weekends, as well as some afternoons depending on my current course timetable.
