My name is Maeve and I am a fourth year student at Queen Margaret University in Edinburgh studying public sociology. I am originally from Northern Ireland but have been living here now for four years.
I have lots of experience looking after children from family cousins to volunteering at my local youth club at home working with large numbers of children and loved every minute of it, it was so fulfilling making it our job to make sure that the children were enjoying themselves.

I have a large family on each side of my mothers and my fathers family so there are lots of grandchildren ranging from all ages. As I am one of the oldest grandchildren I am often the babysitter when required and I really enjoy the company of my cousins!

From the youth club I have gained several skills when working with children such as leadership skills and communication skills. I am a friendly and bubbly girl and always enjoy meeting new people!

I absolutely love working with children and that I hope in the future that I can take my degree into an area working with children.
