Hello I am Kate, I am a married retired lady of 64, new to the Highlands with my husbands work. I love the fresh air, country side, sea (although from the beach side, not on the water), and don't mind the rain. We do not have a TV by choice so read a lot, watch DVDs and I love to knit. When I can find a partner I also play Scrabble or other board games. I have two children aged 26 and 23 who are obviously independent.
My working life has always been children. I qualified as a Nursery Nurse in 1970. Traveled to Greece and America as a nanny. Worked in Maternity units (when they had Nursery nurses on the wards) and special care. Loved the babies particularly. Was Special needs assistant in a Primary school with a specified child from Reception through to year 4 when I was made redundant. Just before I retired I worked in a dance school as admin assistant and PA to the owner. At the same time I worked with a branch of Home Start to lead a respite creche once a week for under fives children with rare conditions.
