Melissa, foreign au pair in Kirkcaldy KY1

I am a 25 year old, single woman who has dedicated nearly a decade to the care of children. I began babysitting for family at 16 and more recently worked with special needs children aged 5-8 within a school setting.
I strive to make every chid’s experience within my care as good and first class as I can and I always treat my children as though they were my own.

I believe that my passion for the care of children and children's upbringing makes me a successful caregiver. I believe that children deserve to have the utmost of care and love with a balanced mix of fun too! As a caregiver it is also my responsibility to allow and encourage children in my care to flourish and be the best they can be whilst also being a good role model and setting examples.

I have experience with children in a home setting from age 6 months-13 years and with children in a private/summer school setting of age 4 - 16 years. Most recently, my childcare experience has been within a Primary School special needs department.

My qualifications, although not childcare specific, range from high school Highers to an MA degree. I also have a HNC qualification which included psychology and sociology modules.
