Abbie, occasional childcare - NE1 Newcastle upon tyne

My name is Abigail and I currently work 4 days a week for a family caring for their two children. I hold a degree in Childhood in the early years and graduated in Summer 2013.

For the past 8 months I worked in a private nursery primarily in the baby room (6 months to 2 years) and I currently work for a family throughout the week. I have always had a natural affinity with children and have a very maternal instinct.

I am looking for part time work such as weekends, evenings and come September hours throughout the day and possibly Monday's.

I firmly believe that all children should receive a high quality of care and I believe with my caring approach I would ensure your child would be safely cared for.

Additionally I have a car and a full/clean driving license.

I have nieces and nephews aged between 8month-7 years that I help my siblings care for. I have built positive relationships with my nieces and nephews. This experience has made me confident in caring for babies and young children. Additionally whilst growing up I use to babysit for various families within my neighbourhood. I enjoyed getting to know each child's personality and use to look forward to helping them with homework or reading their favourite books.

Whilst I was studying I carried out work placements in a local primary school and a nursery. I volunteered as I wanted to work within a childcare setting and witness the day to day approaches in catering for the babies and young children within the work settings. Also employed by a nursery for 8 months caring for children 6 months up to pre school.
