the 02/04/24: My mother has alzheimers and therefore has issues with short-term memory. She sometimes becomes afraid and confused if she is in the house alone after dark. We're therefore looking for a sitter to simply be present in the house on evenings when my father goes out. We'd be looking at, say 3 to 4 hours at a time, maybe once a week. The sitter would not have to spend time with my Mum who will mainly watch television, and could be in another room and do homework / read or anything else...
